LANGUAGES
English is the official and most widely spoken language on the island of Anguilla. It is standard English, but there is also a local Creole dialect, similar to the varieties found in other English-speaking Caribbean islands. This Creole is influenced by local traditions and culture, although English remains dominant in education and administration.

CLIMATE
Anguilla has a dry tropical climate, with a dry season from December to April and a wet season from May to November. The island can be affected by hurricanes between August and October. Temperatures are fairly constant, ranging between 26°C and 30°C throughout the year. The sea temperature, ideal for swimming, stays around 27°C.
CURRENCY
The official currency of Anguilla is the Eastern Caribbean Dollar (XCD). However, the US Dollar (USD) is widely accepted for transactions. Major credit cards are accepted in most establishments, but it is advisable to carry some cash for smaller transactions. ATMs and banks are available on the island.
